Why, based on the historical record, does human morality create longer and far more brutal tortures than human sadism?

Well, understand that religion and politics have killed more humans than anything else. They are all built upon ethics and morals. They rule humanity in big parts. This system has been built into us through thousands of years. We accept it as natural without questions. Sure, nowadays there are more and more people who question this. This is good. What right do these people have to suppress anyone on this planet?

The Catholic Church killed many people with their “laws”. It started 433 AD when Emperor Constantine declared Christianity as an official religion in Rome. He didn’t do that because of its belief but he saw how widespread it was and how popular it was. So, the best way was to control it. There was money to be made out of this. The religion then became very powerful. It was a great way to scare people into obedience. If you didn’t obey the church you would be tortured and killed.

This is just one of many examples. Today we have similar things both in religion and sects. Politics is just the same. Some countries have pure dictatorship as ruling. Others have “democracy”. But the democracy is not real because the ones who present themselves this way want to rule over people. Left or Right doesn’t matter. They are the opposite sides of the same coin. You are “forced” to choose one of them. This will continue as long as people give power to this. Many of these “democratic countries” are responsible for billions of deaths through time. They have started wars and so on. They use excuses for this and fool people from seeing the truth. Killing is killing, that’s a simple truth.

People are led into believing things. We are programmed in our society where we live. Truth is being distorted. Those who distort truth are smart and intelligent. They have very clear knowledge of what they do, so don’t be fooled.

Morality and ethics are different all over this planet depending on where you live. Conditions of living also influence this. Rather than being sound guidelines, morals and ethics have become intellectual laws without understanding and compassion. Look what happens when you don’t manage to pay a bank for your mortgage. They just come and take your property even with force. There’s no compassion and understanding when someone has lost the income from a job loss or like in our present situation with the Corona.

There are sadistic people who thrive from people suffering, that’s true but most people aren’t of such character. There’s a mix of compassion and sadism in many. This deals with your selfish ego. Sadism is a projection of your own suffering inside yourself.

The ones who do massive killings are really cold beings because they are first of all very selfish. They don’t carry emotions of compassion and love for others. They try to present a facade of this to people of being good and wanting to do well but this is a pretense to fool you. You need to look deeper. Hypocrisy is very normal in both politics and religion and mostly from the leaders. Normal people try to live up to these beliefs, mostly but not everyone. There are 2 sides. Service-to-self and Service-to-others. One side works towards separation and the other side towards unity.

So, the norms and rules that you think are right from where you are do kill and destroy for many more than you think. Humans are experts in making excuses and to paint false pictures instead of being honest. Honesty creates trust and transparency. People respect honesty.

I hope these thoughts shall inspire each and every reader to seek truth and what’s really behind things.

What are ten truths everyone should accept in life?

I don’t think I’m wise enough to give this advice but I guess I’ll do it anyways.

  1. Family is extremely important. The way people form families is having children, sex isn’t a game. Many people risk their future family life by playing with fire and having sex with attractive people they don’t plan on settling down with or who aren’t the most moral people. Getting the wrong person pregnant can make your life significantly more stressful. It’s not a good idea.
  2. Racism is pointless. I’ve lived around a lot of different kinds of people my whole life. Some “white” people are jackasses, some “black” people are jackasses, some white and black people are evil. Some white people are good and respectful people, some black people are good and respectful people. This is true from people of every ethnic background. Sometimes cultures can be toxic (throwing homosexuals off of roofs for example, as happens in some places in the middle east) , but as individual human beings there is good and evil, and just respectful and disrespectful people, scattered everywhere.
  3. I’m a naive person, and I’m starting to realize that this isn’t a good way to look at the world. There is legitimate evil around us. I don’t know what percentage of people have this level of immorality, but just look at a Megan’s law registry and look at how wide spread sexual abuse is alone. I hear people say that “most people are good people”. This isn’t true, and people with evil intentions will a lot of the time attempt to hide their negative intentions.
  4. Men and women procreate differently. Men have three mating strategies, one is to have a family and use his resources to raise his children. The other is to impregnate a woman and to not raise the child. The third, I’m not going to mention, it isn’t a good thing, but it was a way of reproduction in the past. Women have one path for reproduction, to become pregnant and to raise their child. The second way of reproduction, in terms of evolution is like hitting the jackpot, you pass on your genetics without expending your resources, and in history this was a very rare circumstance, a part of our brain is wired to be attracted to this. Seeing women in revealing clothing, like short shorts, bikinis, leggings, etc. triggers this part of a man’s brain. Men are more wired for “casual” sex than women because of this, and Men tend to be willing to have less attractive casual sexual partners than women. When it comes to pair bonding, men’s standards tend to be high, as women’s tend to be. Women should be aware of this natural thought pattern in men, that can be isolated and controlled if a man has a high enough moral character. Don’t think because a man will have sex with you that he is interested in an actual relationship, casual sex gives Men a huge rush. It isn’t healthy but it is there to some extent in most men.
  5. There are a lot of unintelligent people in this world, and as our society gets more complicated many people will have a hard time keeping up with society.
  6. A lot of beautiful women are bad people. Just because women are attractive or makes a man feel infatuated doesn’t mean a man should pursue them. Men need to realize their value as human beings and stop stooping to a level of subservience because an attractive woman is interested in them. Trying to have a family with a completely irrational, or even worse yet malicious woman can make your life significantly worse. In the Bible in the book of Proverbs several times it mentions that it’s better to be alone than with a quarrelsome wife, once saying it’s better to live in the desert than with a quarrelsome wife, and again saying it’s better to live alone and in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife.
  7. Every mammal that has ever lived has died. Human beings are hardwired to be scared of death, but all living things on our planet (I have read that some organisms actually don’t age, but this isn’t common, and I’m wondering if they would be preyed on by something? I’m not looking into it now) die. If you’re reading this, you will die someday and I will also. Its apart of being a living being, and accepting mortality brings me peace of mind (although the idea of a loved one facing death terrifies me).
  8. Happiness is elusive and not as straight forward as people might think. One of the happiest moments in my life was when I was living in a car (I took the front seat out and made a makeshift bed) in Northern California, I was making 60k a year at a job I liked and once a week I had money, my car, the beach, a guitar, a skateboard, I felt so free. Technically I was homeless. There are miserable people who are wealthy. It has taken a lot of soul searching for me to try and comprehend how this fits into my life, but finding happiness isn’t straightforward.
  9. Stress has been shown to be bad for hormones levels. Being stressed out lowers testosterone. A lot of people think that having this extreme, go getting attitude is a mark of strength. When it comes to your hormones (I like to work out and am somewhat muscular, so this is important to me), a lot of the time doing less is more, and taking care of yourself when able to will benefit you greatly (our society often pushes us to reach absurd goals by neglecting our wellbeing, which is inevitable at times, but during times of peace, you really should have empathy for yourself and not push yourself off the rails)
  10. Western society will try and pressure you to lose sleep, to go into massive amounts of debt to pursue increasingly pointless education, to get a second job, basically to just work harder and push yourself more and more. Id highly recommend taking a step back and seeing if there is a way to live life THE WAY YOU WANT TO, NOT THE WAY YOU ARE TOLD YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO WANT TO. There is a song by Matisyahu and a poem by Charles Bukowski, the song by Matisyahu talks about how “we have one tiny moment time in life to shine to burn away the darkness”.

The Laughing Heart

Your life is your life don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
Be on the watch.
There are ways out.
There is light somewhere.
It may not be much light but it beats the darkness.
Be on the watch.
The gods will offer you chances.
Know them.
Take them.
You can’t beat death but you can beat death in life, sometimes.
And the more often you learn to do it, the more light there will be.
Your life is your life.
Know it while you have it.
You are marvelous the gods wait to delight in you.

Are you allowed to mock a judge in a courtroom in the name of freedom of expression?

Sure. Better still, do it in your own name.

They for their part (the judge, I mean) are allowed to slap a fine and possibly, jail time on you for contempt of court. Have the bailiffs take you away, if you don’t settle down.

“Allowed” is the wrong word for a grown-up. You are the one who allows your actions. Consequence can’t stop you. You can just wind up in it. I’m pretty sure you knew all about potential legal consequence when you chose. Can it stop you?

It can’t. You can. Your call. All they can do is punish.

Freedom of expression is about what you are able to say or express. Freedom involves some dimension wherein one’s own action is unrestricted. Freedom does not involve others’ reactions being restricted. Every action has or can have consequence.

Freedom of expression is not freedom from consequence.

In a court, traditionally, the gravity of the proceedings is such the we the people allow some latitude to the judge for what kind of nuisances the court has to put up with. This is hardly cruel or unusual, if you care to check it. Next time you’re in anyone’s place – their place, not yours, they invited you in, you remain by their welcome and sufferance, you have no right to be there – mock your host, why don’t you? In your name or in that of freedom of expression.

You may find they are free to revoke their welcome, and eject you from the premises. Now, true, they can’t fine you or order your incarceration, but there’s no particularly publicly-recognized gravity of proceedings in anybody’s house. “GET OUT” is more than sufficient, giving private individuals discretion to punish people (take what’s theirs, including property, liberty) who they’ve invited in to their houses would seem unwarranted.

Apart from acts of fraud, or the actual planning or threatening of crimes (which may have an incidental speech component), expression is in most places unpunishable. You can express yourself with impunity. Your speech is free. Only in very strict and limited settings can you be punished for expression. Only where we the people have okayed that, for reasons we consider weighty enough that our consent has been won over to it.In other places – places not yours, places you’ve no right to be – you can merely be expelled.

That courtroom’s not your house. It’s ours. We not only expect, we demand an impartial justice and an orderly proceeding in there. I suggest if you have no business there, stay out. I suggest if business compels you to be there, behave in a businesslike way.

But guess what?

You are the one who allows you.

Quit asking what you’re allowed to do, and grow up. If you want to investigate, investigate what the potential consequences are, not how “allowed” you are. What can they do to you?

Fine. A fine or jail time, as I understand it. If you’ve tons of money, the first is inconsiderable to you.

I’m quite confident the worth of the second is inconsiderable enough to everyone else.

I am not a lawyer. I do not give legal advice. If you are in need of legal counsel or guidance, do not seek within my answers. Instead, ask around or investigate online: who are the reliable attorneys near you? Call one of these and request a meeting to discuss your issues. It may be a case they can take, even make.
